THE ORIGIN
Hi, I’m Omeima, the founder of Rópard.
In 2022, at 17 years old, I made the choice to wear a headscarf. It was a deeply personal decision, one that reflected my values and how I wanted to move through the world.
For the first 1.5 years, I searched. I looked for modest pieces that felt intentional, not apologetic. Garments made from quality materials. Designs that celebrated elegance, not just covered it up. But the market felt incomplete. Fragmented. Mass-produced. Every search led to the same patterns, the same fabrics, the same uninspired silhouettes.
By 2024—at 19, in my final year of secondary school, I realized this wasn’t a personal problem. It was a market gap. And no one was filling it the way it needed to be filled.
So I created Rópard. Not as a fashion expert from outside the space, but as someone living it. Not as a stylist with years of industry experience, but as someone who had spent 1.5 years learning exactly what was missing, what made a difference, what mattered, and what women in modest fashion actually needed.
